How to jailbreak iphone/ ipod touch using Blackra1n on Windows
Note: This will work only on the latest 3.1.2 firmware. And the newer iphones ipod touches, will be only tethered jailbroken, whcih means once jailbroken don't let the battery die. Otherwise you will have to do this procedure again.
Step 1: Download Blackra1n from this link : DOWNLOAD and save it to your desktop
Step 2: Double click on the downloaded zip file to extract and then click on the following
Step 3: Make sure your iphone / ipod touch is connected to your mac and then click on the "Make it rain" icon
- Your iphone goes in the recovery mode
- Recovery mode is replaced by a picture of GEOHOT
- After that your device should reboot
Step 4: Now a popup screen will appear
Step 5: Once your phone reboots you will have a blackra1n icon on your iphone / ipod touch.
* Make sure you have an internet connection and then launch blackra1n from the iphone / ipod touch menu.
Step 6: Choose the installer that you want to install and click the install button on the TOP RIGHT HAND CORNER of the screen.
Step 7: Blackra1n will now install the installer that you selected
Step 8: After the installation is complete, you can uinstall blackra1n from the menu.
